Questions : What exactly is a HPFA Reproduction work of Art?
Here at Henry Pelham Fine Art we take our paintings very seriously, producing entirely by hand, highly accurate copies of original works of art by the great masters themselves, both young and old.
We take that extra step to ensure you receive the very best art that money can buy, by using only the finest Belgian linen canvas and English oil paints available today. Although the majority of our art is reproduced using Winsor & Newton oils paints and high quality linen canvas, we are also able to recreate in acrylics, charcoal, watercolors and pencil drawings. So if you have a special requirement please contacts us.
Our reputation relies on the quality of our work, so each painting commission is carefully and individually researched. Knowledge of the original artist and analysis of the original painting is essential where possible, so we’re often at the top museums and galleries around the world to take notes ’first hand’.
When we have all the required information, we will begin the commission…..and the end result is an exquisite reproduction of supreme quality, in colour, depth, detail and character. All of our artwork is hand drawn and hand painted.
We replicate the brushstrokes down to the finest detail; you can see and feel the texture of the paint in our Van Gogh’s and Monet’s. The subtle contrast of light and darkness in the Caravaggio’s we create is consummate down to the finest detail….and our portraits after Rembrandt have to be seen to be believed.
Please be aware and don’t be fooled by companies selling cheap, inferior paintings that are either painted over giclee prints on canvas or Asian copies, which are generally mass produced and can be of very poor quality upon receipt of purchase. At least save yourself some money and buy a decent print!
We firmly believe that once you have witnessed first hand the superb quality of our entirely hand produced paintings; you will never again want to accept a poster or print. Arrangements can be made for private viewings of all our commissions, either completed works or in various stages of completion.
But please try to come along to one of our exhibitions, where we will have both our fine original and reproduction works of our art on view and offered for sale.
